Counselling

Some areas I have experience working with include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, low self-esteem, trauma, perinatal mental health, grief and more. I have also worked with people who have lost their sense of self or direction in life or those who feel stuck, lonely or unsatisfied with how their life is moving forward. Whatever it is that you may be struggling with, I can offer a non-judgmental, empathic and safe space for us to explore your difficutlies and get to the root cause.

I also have further training and experience working with people who are autistic or ADHD. You may have a diagnosis, are self-diagnosed, or you may be in the process of exploring this and would like a space to reflect on it further and how it impacts you. I can offer a non-judgmental and accepting space to consider this.

My Approach

The way in which I work is rooted within the psychodynamic approach, which means that I believe that our past has an impact on our present, including unconscious thoughts, feelings and behaviours that we may not be aware of. I also have training in CBT skills and Person-Centred counselling. This means I will work alongside you, at your own pace and in a way that you feel is right for you, to help you uncover the root of your difficulties, develop a sense of self awareness and help you to understand yourself with compassion and acceptance.
